Had a wonderful morning ride, temp a cool 51F, sunny and calm. After stopping atop the hill and taking in the view to the north and across the field to the orchard I made my way to the new trail to the west.
Reopened the west trail yesterday after being destroyed in some wood harvesting a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the trail required a bit more than hand work so I used the bucket tractor to clear the path. At present it's a little scared and open for my liking but the woods will soon reclaim what is not being used.
As I remember the trail proved to be a fast downhill with some technical aspects. The latter getting me in the end. It could be a combination of me being 57, small bark less dowel like sticks, the ground being wet with dew and my tires caked with mud that caused the topple but was a blast and I hopped up and rode it again.
Never too old for fun
